The Detroit Ignition understands our unique role in the community and the importance of our relationships with local organizations. With the partnership of local organizations and the surrounding communities we look to promote the sport of soccer at all levels.

How can the Detroit Ignition help?

All donation requests for the Detroit Ignition must be made in writing on organizational letterhead and include a brief description of the event, along with date and contact information. All requests must be submitted at least three weeks prior to the date of the event for which the donation is needed. All requests will be given serious consideration, however, not all requests will be granted

Goals and Giving is the official charitable organization of the Detroit Ignition. As a 501(c)(3) corporation, Goals and Giving is a separate entity from the Ignition, but benefits from Ignition fundraising programs such as jersey auctions, jersey raffles and other special events.

The mission of Goals and Giving is to provide opportunities through soccer for underprivileged children. Specifically, Goals and Giving provides tickets to Detroit Ignition home games and scholarships to Detroit Ignition Summer Camps to children who otherwise would not be exposed to the positive influences associated with the sport of soccer, and in broader terms, athletics.

In addition to staging special events to raise funds for Goals and Giving, the Ignition actively pursues sponsorships for the charity. Currently, the team is offering three different sponsorship opportunities:

$225 – Yellow –Tickets for 15 Children to attend a Detroit Ignition home game
$375 – Black –Tickets for 25 Children to attend a Detroit Ignition home game
$750 – Red –Tickets for 50 Children to attend a Detroit Ignition home game

A Goals and Giving sponsorship includes recognition on the Compuware Sports Arena Electronic Display Board, inclusion in a special Detroit Ignition game day program insert, and a receipt recognizing your tax deductible contribution.

If you decide to participate in one of the programs listed above, Goals and Giving will donate the tickets to the charity of your choice, or to a charity which works closely with the Ignition.
