The matchup was solidified after Monterrey defeated the Chicago Storm in Game 2 and the “Golden Goal” game of the quarterfinals on Sunday, April 13. The Ignition, who won the league’s regular season title, posted a 1-2 record against La Raza in the regular season. Game 1 of the two-game semifinal series will be played on Friday, April 18 at 9:45 pm (EST) in Monterrey. The Ignition will host Game 2 on Sunday, April 20 at 4:35 pm at Compuware Arena. A “Golden Goal” mini-match series tie-break will be played immediately following Game 2 if necessary.
